Public Policy Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Law firm, backed by a tradition of professionalism and progress, is in search for a Public Policy Analyst for its growing, dynamic eCommerce, Privacy, Data Security, and Cybersecurity practice in Washington, D.C. The Public Policy’s essential functions will include:

  • Researching and keeping abreast of the impact of state and federal policy initiatives.
  • Maintaining public policy elements of market surveillance database.
  • Assisting in developing policy papers, issue briefs, talking points on public policy issues for internal and external audiences.
  • Identifying, summarizing, and analyzing significant and complex issues raised by legislative and executive activity at the state and federal level.
  • Performing other duties as assigned and/or needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 0 – 2 years of progressive policy research, development and writing experience in a law firm setting.
  • Understanding of public policy and legislative issues as they relate to privacy, data security and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to conduct effective presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, be detailed oriented and able to work without direct supervision.
