Elite, coast to coast, law firm seeks a highly motivated Intellectual Property (IP)/Patent Attorney to join its IP & Technology Practice Group in Washington, D.C. office. This IP/Patent Attorney position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of patent matters involving electrical and computer arts and inventions. Responsibilities for this IP/Patent Attorney position will include: reviewing invention disclosures, preparing patent applications, analyzing patent portfolios, performing due diligence, undertaking patent validity and infringement analyses, and coordinating international patent prosecution activities.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of patent prosecution experience as an attorney handling multi-national large patent portfolios in a large or boutique law firm.
• Juris Doctor with a technical academic record in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Registration with the US Patent & Trademark Office is required; admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with the ability to be barred in the District of Columbia is required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects on competing deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
