Law firm that is frequently awarded for its leadership in the legal profession is seeking a highly credentialed Corporate Attorney to join its Washington, D.C. office. This Corporate Attorney position will handle a mix of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), venture capital investments, securities offerings, company governance and compliance, commercial agreements and general corporate matters.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of corporate transitional experience in a specialized boutique or large law firm setting with an emphasis on Securities and M&A matters involving publicly traded and private equity companies.
• Securities Act and the Securities Exchange Act experience is preferred
• JD from a top law school with excellent academic credentials and references.
• Must be a member of the District of Columbia bar or have eligibility to become licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and interrogative skills, strong analytical skills and knowledge of ethics and conduct codes which are a requirement for the proper and legal practice of the law.
