Top tier law firm, who has earned international prominence, is seeking an International Trade Attorney for its Washington, D.C. office. The International Trade Attorney will be advising on export controls, economic sanctions, foreign boycotts, foreign bribery and other regulatory matters. Additional duties for this International Trade Attorney position will include performing analyses of U.S. and foreign law, conducting internal investigations, coordinating government investigations, developing internal compliance programs, making disclosures to the government, drafting contract provisions and managing due diligence.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of international trade experience as an attorney in law firm setting, including import regulations and customs law, export control law and regulation under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), and/or economic sanctions law.
- Juris Doctorate degree and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with the ability to be barred in the District of Columbia is required.
- Distinguished academics from a top tier law school are a must, as are exceptional writing and interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
